Overview

You can align any goal that you own to any other public goal in your organization or any restricted goal for which you are a contributor or team member. In other words, you can only align your goal to a restricted goal if you are either a contributor for that goal or a team member who belongs to that restricted team goal.  You will not have the option to align any of your goals to restricted goals for which you are a follower.

Goal owners are the only users who can align their goals. Contributors, followers, and team members cannot align goals on behalf of the goal owner.

How to Align a Goal In Progress

To align a goal that you have already created, begin from the detailed page with all of the goal information. Towards the bottom right corner of the screen,  click the edit icon (pen and paper icon) icon on the Alignment panel.

Next, click into the drop down menu that appears and select the goal you would like to align your goal to:

Alternatively, you can click Search all goals... to search for a specific goal name. You will only be able to search for public goals or restricted goals for which you are either a contributor or team member.
