Align a Goal

You can align any goal that you own to any goal you have visibility into within your organization to visually signal that your goal relates to another goal.

Overview

As a Goal Owner, you can align your goal to the organization's public goal or a restricted goal, if you are a Contributor or team member. If you are a Follower of a restricted goal, you can not align your goal to the restricted goal. 

Goal Contributors and Followers do not have the ability to align a goal on behalf of the Goal Owner.

Requirements

  • Available to Goal Owners

Align an Existing Goal

To align an existing goal:

  1. Navigate to the Goal Detail page
  2. Click the edit icon of the Alignment card
  3. Use the search bar to search for a goal by name or by Goal Owner name
    • Search results will only display public and restricted goals if you have visibility into them
  4. Click and select the goal to align to
  5. Click Save to finalize the alignment

Align a New Goal

To align a goal in the goal setup process:

  1. On the first step of the goal creation, click Alignment under More Options
  2. Use the Set Goal Alignment modal to identify the goal to align to
    • Use the search function or scroll through the modal to view potential goals you have visibility into
  3. Click and select the goal to align to
  4. Click Ok
  5. Configure the rest of the Name & Type settings for the goal, and click Next to continue the goal setup
