Understanding Feature Admins
A Feature Admin is an administrator limited by the specific features they can administer.
In this article:
Overview
Focused Admins have limited access to your organization based on demographics or specific downlines, while Feature Admins have role-based permissions tied to specific features. Learn more about Focused Admins.
Feature Admins are ideal for team members who don’t need full access but require visibility and control over their designated areas. Options include IT Admins, Survey Admins and User Admins.
Feature Admins
To grant users access to a specific area within Quantum Workplace, assign them Feature Admin permissions, such as Survey Admin, IT Admin, or User Admin.
Survey Admin
Survey Admins can create, launch, and manage survey cycles and view analytics across surveys. A Survey Admin automatically assumes the Survey Author role when creating a survey.
The Survey Admin role is an excellent way to delegate survey management and survey analysis to others within the organization while limiting access to private or sensitive information outside of the Surveys feature.
In addition to the Surveys feature, Survey Admins can also access Keyword Detection and Action Planning analytics to better understand and act on survey data.
- Users designated as Survey Admins only have visibility into Surveys linked under Administration.
On the Surveys page, Survey Admins can:
- View Survey Analytics
- Launch or edit single cycles
- Launch or edit automated cycles
IT Admin
IT Admins can manage integrations for Teams, Slack, SSO, and Outlook, ensuring seamless connectivity. Their access can be restricted by assigning them as an IT Admin under Feature Admins.
This allows organizations to control permissions while enabling IT teams to manage essential integrations efficiently.
Under Administration, IT Admins can view Integrations.
As an IT Admin, this is how Integrations visibility appears:
User Admin
User Admins can be assigned under Feature Admins and have access to create new Demographics areas, manage users, and access HRIS integrations.
- They can also receive HRIS notifications, allowing them to stay updated on relevant changes.
- This role helps streamline user management and integration tasks within the organization.
- Under Administration, User Admins can view General Settings, Users, and Integrations
With access to these features, User Admins will have the following view:
- Navigate to Administration > Users
- Opt to create a New User, or edit a current user
- In the sidebar, check the box for Administrator
- Select Limit by Feature
- Choose Surveys, Users, or IT*
- Click Save to grant access
*Feature Admins can be assigned multiple features. For example, an HRBP may have access to both Surveys and User Management, or an IT Admin may also need access to managing users.
Once saved, access is automatically granted to the new admin.
