Complete Career Vision
To begin creating your individual Growth Plan, you’ll take the Career Vision assessment. By breaking it down into a series of easy-to-answer questions, this assessment makes formulating a vision for your career simple.
We recommend setting aside 10 minutes of dedicated focus time to complete the assessment, envisioning the impact you’d like to make in 3-5 years. It may be helpful to consider career wins, feedback from others, or people you find inspiring throughout this process.
When you’re ready to begin, click Get Started.
Note: This career vision is YOURS. If anything in the vision doesn’t fit with your long-term goals, you can always retake the assessment or make edits along the way.
Taking the Career Vision Assessment
The assessment will guide you through a series of questions to help clarify your career aspirations.
Follow the prompts throughout the assessment, tracking your status towards completion in the progress bar at the top right of the screen.
Note: Your progress will be saved automatically, allowing you to return later if needed.
- Starting out, you’ll identify situations that boost or deplete your energy at work. If a scenario doesn’t apply to you, select Doesn’t Apply.
- To get more specific, complete the open-ended questions to identify scenarios that have increased or depleted your energy in your own words.
- The second page of the Career Vision Assessment prompts you to reflect on accomplishments you’re proud of and skills that have helped you succeed in the past. Then, you’ll describe a current day in the life of your role.*
*Note: [Coming Soon] This feedback will be summarized to create daily responsibilities of a variety of roles across your company within the Job Explorer feature.
- From there, the assessment gauges your current career focus – whether that means growing within your role, expanding your responsibilities, achieving a promotion, or exploring alternative paths – as well as your interest level in managing others.
- The last page of the assessment encourages you to envision your long-term career goals. Use these questions to reflect on where you’d like to go next, and then in the future.
- Lastly, if it’s relevant to your current organizational structure, you may see a question regarding your level of interest in relocating. Once you’ve completed the assessment, click Generate Vision to move forward.
Now, Next, and Later
From here, your personalized Career Vision will be generated based on your responses to the assessment. Including a vision for now, next, and later, your career aspirations have never been clearer.
Feel free to edit if something doesn’t seem quite right for you. You will also be able to edit these outcomes any time in the future if you change your mind. When you’re ready, click Save Career Vision.
Remember, this is YOUR Career Vision! It will be useful in guiding your growth, as well as helping your manager (and our in-tool Career Coach!) understand your ambitions and coach you toward success.
Once you click Save, you'll be taken back to Your Growth Plan, where you can track your progress on the Wayfinder and view your newly added Now, Next, Later steps under Your Career Vision.
