What Data Should We Focus On?

The Overview Report is a great starting point as this highlights key metrics, such as your final response rate, average favorability (proportion of responses that were Strongly Agree or Agree across survey items), and key drivers of engagement (based on your employees’ responses, these are the survey items most likely to influence engagement).

When looking at category-level or item-level data, favorability is a great metric to focus on as it represents the percent of employees agreeing or strongly agreeing.  We want these percentages to be as high as possible over time.  Which categories and survey items are most favorable?  Least favorable?

As you start feeling comfortable with some overall trends, you can use filters/slices to compare demographic group or gain context from open-ended comments (if applicable), but this may get overwhelming to do too early.
