The Survey Comment Writing Assistant simplifies and enhances the process of leaving comments and responding to open-ended survey questions, making it easier to transform initial thoughts into meaningful, constructive responses.

Requirements

  • If enabled, the Writing Assistant is available to survey participants completing a survey with comments enabled or open-ended questions

Enable/Disable the Survey Comment Writing Assistant

As a full admin or survey admin, the Survey Comment Writing Assistant can be enabled/disabled on a question-by-question basis for any open-ended question or question with comments enabled.

To enable/disable the Survey Comment Writing Assistant:

  1. Click and expand Administration in the left-hand navigation menu; click Surveys
  2. Click on a survey to navigate to the survey creator
  3. Click on the Questions node 
  4. Click on the survey question's corresponding ⋮ icon; click Edit 
  5. Click and toggle the Enable Writing Assistant for Comment field
    • If a question is not open-ended, ensure that the 'Add a comment' is option is either Optional or Required 
  6. Click Save Question
  7. Repeat steps 4-6 as necessary

Use the Survey Comment Writing Assistant 

To use the Survey Comment Writing Assistant:

  1. From the Surveys homepage, click Take Survey to open the survey
  2. Enter a response to an open-ended question or in the comment field
  3. Click Make this better
  4. Review the generated recommendation
    • Click Try Again to regenerate a recommendation
  5. Click Replace to replace your initial input with the generated recommendation
  6. Continue completing the survey
