      Engagement Survey Analytics: Preferred Metrics

      As an admin or survey-admin, select the favorability metric for your Engagement survey that makes the most sense for your organization.

      Overview

      By default, Overall Favorability is the default metric when viewing an Engagement survey's analytics, i.e. Team Report, Questions report, PDF exports, etc.

      Alternatively, if an organization would prefer to use the Outcome Favorability metric as the default across the survey's analytics, this can be updated at any time.

      If the preferred metric is set to Overall Favorability, the Engagement Outcomes report will still display the Outcome Favorability metric as only Outcome questions are included in the report.

      Note: Overall Favorability is the recommended metric option for the majority of organizations. Reach out to your CIM/CSM if you have any questions.

      Overall Favorability & Outcome Favorability

      Favorability is the percentage of responses to a survey question that were favorable, i.e. Agree, Strongly Agree, etc.

      • Overall Favorability is the percentage of favorable survey responses for every survey question
      • Outcome Favorability is the percentage of favorable survey responses for the survey's Outcome questions

      Requirements

      • Available to admin and survey-admins
      • The Outcome Favorability metric is available to Engagement surveys with a minimum of one Outcome question

      Set & Update Preferred Metric

      The preferred metric for a survey can be updated at any time, even after a survey has closed.

      To set or update a preferred metric for the survey's analytics:

      1. Click and expand Administration in the left-hand navigation menu 
      2. Click Surveys & Pulses
      3. Click on the survey to navigate to the survey creator
      4. Navigate to the Questions step of the survey creator
        • For a new survey, configure the survey and complete each step, learn more
        • For a survey that's been launched, closed, or in draft, click on the Questions node along the top of the survey creator
      5. From the Preferred Metrics card, select between Overall Favorability or Outcome Favorability
        • Note: Overall Favorability is the default option
      6. Click Next to save your selection

      Once saved, the survey's analytics will reflect the favorability option selected.
