Recognition Suggested Hashtags

Use Suggested Hashtags with Recognition to create public hashtag options for employees to use when recognizing their colleagues.

Overview

Hashtags are any word or phrase preceded by the # character. Hashtags become active links that organize all Recognition using the specific hashtag.

Requirements

  • Available to full admin users

Access Recognition Hashtags

To access the Recognition hashtags menu:

  1. Click and expand Administration in the left-hand navigation menu
  2. Click Recognition
  3. Click and navigate to the Suggested Hashtags menu

Create a Hashtag

Create a new suggested hashtag to encourage users to adopt the hashtag when giving Recognition. 

To create a new hashtag:

  1. Access the Suggested Hashtags menu
  2. Enter the hashtag in the Create New Hashtag field
  3. Click Create

Manage Existing Hashtags

To manage an existing hashtag:

  1. Access the Suggested Hashtags menu
  2. For an existing hashtag:
    • A. Delete: Click the trash icon to delete the hashtag
    • B. Edit: Click the edit icon to update the hashtag text; click Save to update  any changes
    • C. Rearrange: Click and drag to rearrange the hashtag, if multiple hashtags exist

Manage Hashtag Tooltip Text

The tooltip text for suggested hashtags provides relevant information and reasons to apply the hashtag. This additional information appears when users hover their cursor over the suggested hashtag's corresponding ? icon. 

The tooltip text applies to all suggested hashtags.

To manage the suggested hashtag's tooltip text:

  1. Access the Suggested Hashtags menu
  2. Enter the tooltip text for the Help Tooltip field
  3. Click Save
