Pin agenda topics in 1-on-1s to keep important topics readily visible for future 1-on-1s between the same two participants. Pinned topics carry over to future 1-on-1s until unpinned.

Overview

Pin agenda topics in 1-on-1s to keep important topics readily visible for future 1-on-1s between the same two participants. Pinned topics carry over to future 1-on-1s until unpinned.

Use the Agenda Builder, present with 1-on-1s using the Check-In template, to add topics that can be pinned/unpinned. 1-on-1s using other templates can add the Agenda Builder to the 1-on-1 using Conversation Boosters, learn how to add Agenda Builders as a Conversation Booster.

Pin Topics in 1-on-1s

Pin topics shared via the Agenda Builder to ensure important topics stay visible for future 1-on-1s with the same participants. Pinned topics only apply to present and future 1-on-1s, a 1-on-1 in the past will not display the pinned topic.

To pin a topic in a 1-on-1:

  1. Click 1-on-1s in the left-hand navigation menu
  2. Click Start New 1-on-1 in the top-right
  3. Click and expand the Participants drop-down to select the 1-on-1 participant
  4. Click Check-In or expand the Select a Template drop-down to select a template with the Agenda Builder, learn how to create a 1-on-1 template as a user
  5. Click Create 1-on-1
  6. In a 1-on-1 with the Agenda Builder, enter a topic
  7. Click Share
  8. Click the pin icon to open a confirmation modal
  9. Click Yes, Pin This Topic
    • Once pinned, click the pin icon again to unpin a topic and prevent the topic from remaining in future 1-on-1s with the same participant

Topic History

Available for topics that are currently pinned or were previously pinned, the Topic History modal logs the date(s) when a topic was pinned/unpinned.

To access the Topic History modal:

  1. Open a 1-on-1 with a current or previously pinned topic
  2. Click the currently pinned or previously pinned topic's corresponding ⋮ icon to expand a drop-down menu
  3. Click Topic History to open the Topic History modal

  4. Click Close
