The Feedback Writing Assistant simplifies and enhances the process of giving feedback, making it easier to transform initial thoughts into meaningful, constructive feedback. By refining tones, you can also choose how your feedback is expressed—whether more professional, supportive, constructive, collaborative, or encouraging.

  • Available for open-ended prompts in Feedback

Use the Writing Assistant 

To use the Writing Assistant in an open-ended Feedback prompt:

  1. From the Feedback homepage, click Provide Feedback for any Feedback session you're invited to participate in
  2. Respond to an open-ended prompt with your initial thoughts
  3. Click Make this better
  4. Review the generated recommendation.

  5. Click Refine and use the tone selector to adjust how the Writing Assistant phrases your feedback:

    • Professional

    • Supportive

    • Constructive

    • Collaborative

    • Encouraging

  6. Click Discard to delete the recommendation, or Replace to overwrite your initial thoughts.

  7. Make any necessary edits to the recommendation before continuing or completing the Feedback by clicking Submit.
