As an admin, use the Preview and Test features to verify and confidently launch a successful survey.

In this article:

Overview

Surveys, especially those with demographic-dependent questions can be tedious to verify before launching.

As an admin creating a survey, use the Preview and Test feature within the Survey Creator to view and test the survey and its email notifications to confidently launch your survey. Learn more about Survey Logic.

Additionally, as an admin, you can test and configure a user's visibility into the survey's analytics. Learn more about testing survey access.

Test Invitations & Reminders

On the Schedule step in the Survey Creator, the settings for the invitations and reminder(s) are configured.

This includes the dates, any custom messaging that should appear in the email notifications, and the number of reminders for users who have yet to submit their survey.

Preview Survey

At various points in the survey creation process, you have the ability to preview the survey. This gives you the chance to view the survey as your survey participants will see once the survey is launched.

This is especially helpful for surveys that incorporate logic and demographic-dependent questions.

For surveys with logic, the survey preview allows you, as an admin, to view and interact with the survey as any user in your organization to ensure the logic is working correctly.

There are a few different ways to preview and test a survey:

Preview a Survey

This method is most applicable to surveys without logic. The previews are static and appear the same to all survey participants.

To preview a survey:

  1. On the final step in the Survey Creator, Test and Review, click Preview
  2. View and interact with the survey to ensure the survey setup was successful

Preview a Survey via Link

This method allows you to send a URL of the survey preview to another user within your organization.

If the survey includes logic, the survey preview will reflect the recipient's demographics and preferences when they open the link.

To protect confidentiality, surveys with logic require users to be logged in to Quantum Workplace to view the survey preview. Surveys without logic do not require users to be logged in to view the survey preview.

Additionally, if the URL recipient is also an admin, they can view the survey as any specified user in your organization- learn more.

To send a preview link to another user:

  1. On the final step in the Survey Creator, Test and Review, click Copy Preview Link
  2. Paste and send the URL link to a colleague
  3. The recipient can click the URL to open a preview of the survey

Preview a Survey as Any User

As an admin, you can preview a survey as any user in your organization to test and verify that your survey logic is working correctly.

To protect confidentiality, surveys with logic require users to be logged in to Quantum Workplace to view the survey preview. Surveys without logic do not require users to be logged in to view the survey preview.
