Feedback: Email Notifications

Overview

The following sections are the email notifications your employees may receive as part of your Feedback cycle, depending on the specific cycle setup. 

Email notifications are not customizable, with the exception of any text you add to the About this Cycle section of your cycle setup page. If you add text to this section and check the box specifying that it should be added to emails, that text will get pulled into the body of the emails.

Notifications are also delivered in-app, alongside email notifications.

The examples below only display the text automatically included in every email. 

Select Feedback Providers 

Select Your Own Feedback Providers

The following email is delivered to feedback recipients on the cycle's launch date if they are required to select their own feedback providers. 


As a Manager: Select Feedback Providers for Direct Reports

The following email is delivered to the feedback recipient's manager on the cycle launch date if the cycle was configured to have managers select feedback providers for their direct reports.

Provide Feedback 

Provide Feedback for Colleagues 

The following email is delivered to users who were selected to provide feedback as part of a cycle.

Provide Feedback for Yourself

The following email is delivered to users when the cycle asks the user to provide feedback for themselves. 

Admin-Initiated Feedback Cycles

For admin-initiated cycles in which feedback providers are imported by an admin before the cycle launches, the Provide Feedback emails consolidate all of the feedback recipients into a single email. 

Note: If additional feedback recipients are added after the cycle launch date, individual email notifications are delivered instead. 

Feedback Reminder

The following email is delivered to feedback providers who have yet to complete their feedback.

Reminder emails are sent 3 days and 1 day before the cycle's due date if the provider hasn't completed their feedback.

Feedback Nudges 

The following email is delivered to feedback providers when nudged, either by the recipient or an admin.

Feedback Shared with You

The following email is delivered to feedback recipients once feedback is received if the cycle is configured to share the feedback as soon as it's received. 

If the cycle is configured to have a Feedback Visible date, they will instead see this email on the Feedback Visible date.

Feedback is Visible

If a cycle is configured with a Feedback Visible date, instead of having feedback immediately available, feedback recipients and managers with visibility receive the following email. 

If the cycle is configured to share feedback immediately as it's received, they will see this email when feedback has been provided.

Feedback Requested

Employee-Initiated Feedback Request

The following email is delivered to feedback providers when requested by a colleague.

Manager-Initiated Feedback Request

The following email is delivered to employees when their manager requests feedback on behalf of their direct report. 

Focused Feedback

Focused Feedback cycles include two additional email notifications. 

Managers: Review & Summarize Focused Feedback 

Managers of employees receiving Focused Feedback receive the following email to prompt managers to summarize the key takeaways from the collected feedback. 

This email is sent 3 days before the due date of the Focused Feedback. 

Employees: View Focused Feedback 

Employees receive the following email when the manager's summary is ready for the employee. 

Colleague's Feedback is Shared with You

If users can share the feedback they received with others, i.e. a mentor or coach, the following email is delivered to the user receiving the shared feedback.

The following email is delivered to the feedback recipient and their manager notifying them that the feedback was shared with another colleague.
